(WTNH)– The baby food Beech-Nut has been recalled for possible glass pieces in one of their jars.
Beech-Nut has issued a voluntary recall to only certain jars of their Classics State 2 Sweet Potato & Chicken. These affected jars were shipped nationwide and have “P-68A” printed in the USDA inspection mark. The expiration date is December 2016 and the product numbers are 12395750815 through 12395750821.
The company says the recall is because of a single report of small pieces of glass found in one jar of the product. They say that there is no indication that other jars are affected.
Beech-Nut said in a press release “as a company of parents and families we are acting with an abundance of caution.”
To get a refund you can call Beech-Nut at (866) 674-4446 or you can return it to the store where it was purchased. If you think your baby has eaten the affected product, consult a doctor.
