CCMC President / CEO to retire

HARTFORD, Conn. (WTNH)  –  The President and CEO of Connecticut Children’s Medical Center in Hartford has announced his plans to retire.  65 year old Martin Gavin will remain until a successor is found but plans on stepping down by the end of the year.

Gavin has been in the position for nine years.  According to a press release, during that time, Gavin oversaw significant growth in the number of children who came into the hospital and increased the capacity to care for children.

The hospital’s board of directors has formed a search committee that is conducting a national search for his successor.
