Nell’s Pic of the Week – April 24

(WTNH) – This week we had an overwhelming number of dog photos sent in to us for my ‘Pic of the Week’ segment! I’m a very humbled pooch! I always knew my home state had a lot of dogs – but I never fully realized what a good looking bunch you are! This is a good state in which to be a dog!

Since there were so many photos to go through (my mom helped me look through them since my paws aren’t the most coordinated when it comes to using a computer), it was tough to narrow the field down to the top 3. But that’s what they pay me the big bucks (or Beggin’ Strips) to do!

Coming in at #3 is this little Ranger fan, proving you’re never too young (or too small) to support your favorite team!

And how cute is Goofy?! He’s a 16-week-old King Charles Cavalier puppy! He seems to have mastered the art of a Sunday morning nap (naps are key, especially when you’re up before the sun!).

My pick for the ‘Pic of the Week’ is Zach, a 2-year-old Australian Labradoodle from North Stonington. I had to do a double take when I saw his face come across the screen. We must share a long lost poodle cousin!

Get this – since so many of you got your owners to send in your pics, our website now has a page dedicated to your photos! So regardless of whether or not your mug makes it on TV, it will definitely make it online. Go to WTNH.com and click on ‘Report-It‘ and then ‘Nell’s Pic of the Week‘ to find your photo (and those of all your fellow Connecticut canines!). Maybe this will become the Facebook for Connecticut dogs?!

Have a great weekend and keep those photos coming (and include a description)! Send your photos to Reportit@wtnh.com with the subject line ‘Nell’s Pic of the Week.’ See you next week on Good Morning Connecticut 5-7 a.m.
