Police seize twenty pounds of marijuana in New Milford drug bust

NEW MILFORD, Conn. (WTNH) — New Milford Police confiscated approximately twenty pounds of marijuana, twenty-thousand dollars in cash and a handgun in a drug bust Wednesday.

According to police, Jeremiah Clement, 37, was wanted on a Federal Arrest Warrant issued in Illinois for Conspiracy to Distribute Marijuana.

New Milford Police and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms arrested Clement at 713 Kent Road in New Milford before transporting him to a federal detention facility.

Members of the Connecticut State Police Statewide Narcotics Task Force prepared and conducted a Search and Seizure for 713 Kent Road.

Police are still investigating.
