(WTNH Report It/ Bart Connors Szczarba)

NEW HAVEN, Conn. (WTNH)– You don’t want to miss the Cherry Blossom Festival in New Haven.

You can head over to Wooster Square from noon to 5.p.m. today for the festival and for a look at the pretty trees.

Last year, thousands came out to enjoy the event with live music, vendors and food trucks.

It will celebrate the planting of seventy-two cherry trees in 1974 by the New Haven Historic Commission.

Send your festival photos to and they may be featured in a gallery.
