(WTNH– Author and educator Shante Hanks discusses her traumatic experience after being hit by a drunk driver, her new book “Titanium Woman”, and her campaign to raise awareness of the repercussions of drunk driving.
Shantè T. Hanks has a Master of Education and Sixth Year Professional Degree in Educational Foundations. She was an administrator and taught in higher education for over twelve years and currently is the Deputy District Director in the congressional office in Connecticut. While in graduate school she ran for local office and is a recent graduate of the Women’s Campaign School at Yale Law. Shantè plans to run for political office again in the future.
