WEST HAVEN, Conn. (WTNH) – A woman was shot in the face Sunday morning outside a bar in West Haven, according to police. Now a suspect has been arrested.
West Haven Police have charged Edward Corradino, of 133 Campbell Avenue West Haven, in an early morning shooting that left a woman with a shotgun wound to her facial area. Corradino was charged with 2 counts of Criminal Attempt to Commit Murder, Reckless Endangerment, 2 counts of Unlawful Discharge of a Firearm, Assault First Degree, Criminal Attempt to Commit Assault First and Breach of Peace.
Corradino will be held on bond and arraigned Monday morning.
Police say at 2:50 a.m. they responded to 142 Campbell Avenue at the corner of Campbell Avenue and Noble Street for a report of a person shot.
When officers arrived they found a woman in her 40’s who had been shot in the face. Police are actively working this investigation arresting a male suspect who had a confrontation with the woman earlier in the night at Kelly’s bar located at 144 Campbell Avenue and shot her as she left the bar. The woman was taken to the closest hospital and is in stable condition.
