ANSONIA, Conn. (WTNH) — Ansonia police have arrested a couple they say used homes in Ansonia and Beacon Falls for drug trafficking.
On Saturday morning, Ansonia police conducted simultaneous search warrants at 14 May Street in Ansonia as well as 14 Church Street in Beacon Falls. The search warrants obtained as a result of an investigation into narcotics trafficking and sales from both locations.
In Beacon Falls, police said they found a small amount of cocaine inside the home. In Ansonia, officers said they found several ounces of marijuana, packing materials, scales, and a pipe inside the residence.
Police took 35-year-old Anthony Berrios into custody, along with his girlfriend, 24-year-old Anna Tevay, both of Ansonia.
Berrios was charged with conspiracy to possess marijuana, and conspiracy to possess marijuana with intent to sell. He was held on a $25,000 bond, and is due in court on May 22nd.
Tevay faces multiple drug charges including possession of marijuana with intent to sell, possession within 1500 feet of a school (Ansonia Middle School), and conspiracy. She was held on a $50,000 bond, and is also due in court on May 22nd.
