New Britain Hero Officer Saves Boy

NEW BRITAIN, Conn. (WTNH) – An incredible story out of New Britain today. A police officer finds a missing boy face down in a neighborhood swimming pool and saves his life.

New Britain police got a 9-1-1 call around 7:50 Wednesday morning from the child’s father saying he noticed his son was missing. The father told police he went to use the bathroom, came out, and noticed his son was gone.

Officer Frank Furowiec searched yards in the area and came to an above ground pool. He noticed the pool cover looked like it was lifted and looked into the pool. He saw the child face down and was able to pull the boy out of the water and save him.
