Connecticut’s Park City has a new park

BRIDGEPORT, Conn. (WTNH) – Bridgeport, also known as the Park City, now has another park. The new park, Nob Hill, opened today.

The park is located at 115 Virginia Avenue. The state originally had plans to build a juvenile detention center on the land but residents were opposed to to it and the land was then given to the city.

Nob Hill Park consists of a bike loop, splash pad, horseshoe lanes, picnic areas and a playground. The playground is named after long-time city leader Anna Migliore. The park is also home to the city’s first dog park.
