Bullet casing found at East Hartford school

EAST HARTFORD, Conn. (WTNH) — Students at an East Hartford school were placed in lockdown after a bullet casing was found inside the building.

The casing was found Wednesday afternoon. School officials placed the building in lockdown while East Hartford police officers searched and secured the school and grounds.

Students remained in their clasrooms until the building was ruled safe by police. No injuries were reported.

According to school officials, all students were safe and accounted for. School was dismissed at the normal time.
