CT transit bus catches fire in Hartford

Emergency crews work to put out a fire on a CT Transit bus on Columbus Avenue Wednesday morning (WTNH)

HARTFORD, Conn. (WTNH)– Police are investigating after a bus caught on fire in Hartford Wednesday morning.

It happened on Columbus Boulevard, near Arch Street, shortly before 9 in the morning. The bus was a CT transit bus on its way from the Newington parking lot.

It’s been reported that there were only two passengers on board. They were evacuated and the fire department responded to the scene to put out the fire. Nobody was hurt in the incident.

The bus was towed back to the garage. The cause of the fire is unknown at this time.
