Man tries to lure teenager with shoes in Bristol

BRISTOL, Conn. (WTNH) — Police in Bristol are looking for the man who tried to lure a 17-year-old girl with shoes.

She was walking from Page Park on King Street when she noticed a red car in a parking lot Tuesday afternoon.

Police said the man asked the girl how to get to Waterbury because his GPS was broken. Then he asked what size shoe she was wearing because he had shoes in his car. He wanted her to go see them.

The male returned to the car, opened the trunk and asked her to come over. She ignored him and kept walking.  The male then drove off southbound on King Street.

Police are looking for a thin Hispanic male in his 20’s, who’s about five feet four inches tall. He was last seen wearing a black polo shirt with gray/blue jeans black hat, and diamond earrings.

If you have any information you’re asked to call the Bristol Police Department at (860) 584-3000.
