New, easier way to get to the Hamptons

BRIDGEPORT, Conn. (WTNH)– There will be an easier way for folks in Connecticut to get the the Hamptons on Long Island.

Starting this Friday, May 22nd, folks who take the Ferry from Bridgeport to Port-Jefferson in Long Island will have access on weekends to the Hampton Jitney bus service, making stops in Riverhead, South Hampton, Sag Harbor and East Hampton.

That will make the trip from Bridgeport to the Hamptons about two and a half hours.

There will also be a high speed ferry at Port Jefferson to go west to Manhattan and the highlands in New Jersey.
