New Haven burglar breaks into empty building

NEW HAVEN, Conn. (WTNH) — A burglar or burglars in New Haven had to be frustrated when they broke into a business only to discover they were in an empty building early Tuesday morning.

According to New Haven police, during the overnight hours the burglar broke into Walt’s Cleaners, located at 310 Dixwell Avenue. Upon entry, the burglar discovered that the business was no longer in operation, and all of the shop’s contents had previously been removed.

Officers responded to the location to investigate. The owner of the property told police that nothing had been taken, because there was nothing to take.
