ROCKY HILL, Conn. (WTNH) — They say lightning doesn’t strike twice, but evidently the same can’t be said about luck. For one Enfield woman luck struck TWICE… in the form of $20,000! Rita Sharron played the CT Lottery’s “10X Cash- 10th Edition” game two days in a row, and both days she won the game’s top prize: $10,000.

Sharron picked up the first winning ticket on Monday, and called all her family members to share her excitement. Sharron never thought her good luck would strike again.

“The next day, I stopped at a different retailer and bought another ’10X Cash’ ticket. When I scratched it and saw that I won $10,000 again, I was beside myself,” Sharron said in a press release. “I thought, ‘Oh my God, I can’t believe this. I won another $10,000!'”

So just HOW lucky is Sharron? The odds of someone winning two $10,000 top prizes, for the same game, from two different retailers, two days in a row is 416 million to 1.

So what does a woman who is 1 in 416 million do with that lucky cash?

“I’m going to plan a nice little vacation for myself, later this summer, just to relax,” she said in the release.
