Hartford,Conn. (WTNH) – Trropers from Troop H-Hartford say they have arrested a man for possession of drugs with the intent to sell.
Around 11 p.m. Wednesday night police got a report that a man and a woman were arguing outside of a black Honda in the area of I-84 near the Governor’s Street exit. When troopers arrived the car had already left. Troopers started to drive around the area, and notified neighboring police departments. A short time later troopers came upon the 2004 black Honda in East Hartford. This was on Fuller Street.
As police started investigating they found 875 baggies of suspected heroin, approximately 5 grams of suspected marijuana and more than five thousand dollars in cash.
Troopers arrested 34-year-old Angel Rivera of Hartford. He now faces charges of:
Possession with intent to sell, possession of controlled substance: narcotics, possession less than ½ oz cannabis, failure to obey control signal, making an improper turn, and travelling unreasonably fast. Rivera was released after posting a $50,000 bond. He is due in Manchester Superior Court on June 9th.
Troopers tell News 8 the female passenger was not injured.
