State troopers looking for larceny suspect

Bantam, Conn. (WTNH) – State troopers are looking for a woman, who they believe stole three checkbooks out of a parked car on Bantam road in Bantam on April, 24th.

Authorities say they got involved in the investigation after receiving a report from more than one witness. State police later determined that some of he stolen checks had been cashed at various locations across the state. Troopers were aided in the case by reviewing surveillance video from some of those locations.

On April 28th, a woman driving a white Hyundai was seen cashing five stolen checks at a People’s Bank branches in four locations around the state. State troopers are asking anyone who recognizes the suspect or the vehicle at (860) 626-7900.
