NEW HAVEN, Conn. (WTNH) — A New Haven man was carjacked in the city Friday afternoon, police say.

According to officials, the 28-year-old parked his girlfriend’s black Subaru Legacy near Ferry and Peck Streets around 3:35 p.m. to go the the corner bodega. They say when he returned to the car, two men asked him for a ride. While the three were driving near 166 Wolcott Street, police say the front-seat passenger pulled a gun and told the victim to get out. They say the victim did, then the backseat passenger took the wheel and drove off.

Authorities say the carjackers were not described, but surveillance confirmed the victim’s report.

The car, with Connecticut license plates 311-ZEW, has not been found.
