Best States for Working Moms

(WTNH) The Institute for Women’s Policy Research has come out with a list of the best places for working mothers to live.

New York ranks at the top with California, Washington D.C., New Jersey and Rhode Island following close behind.

The research is based on access to paid leave, support for care, child care cost and quality and the gender gap in the work force.

Connecticut ranks 21st and gets a ‘C’ grade. The worst states, according to this research, for a working mom to live in include Mississippi, Montana, Utah and Indiana, which came in last.
