Amazon to bring new jobs to Connecticut

WINDSOR, Conn. (WTNH) — Amazon is going to hire employees for more than 6,000 full-time jobs at it’s more than 50 fulfillment centers across the U.S., and one of those centers is in Windsor.

Employees at the center will pick, pack, and ship customer orders.

“Amazon not only offers great pay and benefits, we also encourage our employees to continue to grow in their careers,” said Mike Roth, Amazon’s vice president of North America operations, in a press release.

Amazon helps hourly employees further their education. The company will pre-pay up to 95-percent of tuition for courses related to in-demand fields whether or not the skills are relevant to a career at Amazon. Amazon offers classes from local community and technical colleges to associates onsite at select U.S. fulfillment centers.
