Drought Update

Connecticut was just recently placed under a moderate drought status. So far this month, Bridgeport has received 0.50″ of rain, which is 2.62″ below normal for the month. Bradley International Airport has received 0.60″ of rain for May. The normal is 3.39″, which is 2.79″ below normal.

Precipitation Since January 1, 2015 for Bradley Intl Airport – 12.84″ (-4.01″ below normal)

Precipitation Since March 1, 2015 for Bradley Intl Airport – 6.66″ (-4.07″ below normal)

Precipitation Since January 1, 2015 for Bridgeport – 13.65″ (-3.54″ below normal)

Precipitation Since March 1, 2015 for Bridgeport – 7.31″ (-3.86″ below normal)

Although the state is experiencing very dry conditions, the forecast calls for a chance of some beneficial rain in the coming days.

Tonight:  A mild night, humid with passing clouds. Low:  65-67

Tomorrow: Mix of sun and clouds, hazy, hot and humid. Chance for t-showers. High:  77-89

Thursday:  Warm, hazy and humid. Chance for T-storms. High:  78-83
