Graveside flags set on fire on Higganum green

HADDAM, Conn. (WTNH)– It would be a horrible crime anytime but what happened on the Higganum green was especially troubling on Memorial Day.

Police say someone set fire to some American flags that were on graves located on the green. The flags were located next to the monument and were burned sometime overnight.

State police are investigating after they received a complaint. Investigators would like to hear from anyone who has information about this outrage by calling Haddam Resident Troopers Office at 860-345-2769.
