Multiple shots fired, New Haven police investigating

NEW HAVEN, Conn. (WTNH) – Police are on scene investigating after reports of gun shots being fired early Monday morning in New Haven.

Police are on scene in the area of 460 Middletown Avenue after nearby residents called to reports shots being fired around 1:50 a.m.

There is 30 gun shot casings found at the scene and are being considered as evidence. At this time it is unclear if there are any victims.

The road is closed on Middletown Avenue between Ellis Street and Gando Drive, motorists are asked to avoid this area.
