Transportation Hearing

HAMDEN, Conn. (WTNH & AP) – The Connecticut Public Transportation Commission will be holding the last of three meetings next month to talk about transportation needs.  On June 3rd at the Hamden Government Center, they will listen to the public, officials and transportation providers about needed services.

The committee wants to know about the unmet needs the public has.  The group will focus in on several issues including a possible vehicle garage for the Greater New Haven Transit District. They will discuss the adequacy of local Dial-a-Ride services and the level of demand for the upcoming New Haven-to-Hartford-to-Springfield passenger rail service.

The Commission will gather all the information so they can prepare a recommendation to the General Assembly and the governor of what is needed in various neighborhoods in Connecticut.
