Hamden police seeking info on shooting

HAMDEN, Conn. (WTNH)– The Hamden police department is currently investigating a shooting from over the weekend.

According to police, officers responded to the intersection of Goodrich Street and Shepard Street around 8 PM Saturday for the report of a shooting.

Officer then found 22 year old Lamar Trimble lying on the front step of a Goodrich Street home with a gunshot wound to the hip. Police say he was unable to provide any information to officers. Trimble was taken to Yale New Haven for treatment of his injuries. Hew as conscious and alert when officers arrived.

Witnesses told police that the suspect fled on foot on Shepard Street heading south. The suspect is described as a black male, who was wearing a hooded sweatshirt at the time of the incident.
