Hartford police rescue kitten trapped in storm drain

HARTFORD, Conn. (WTNH)– A kitten that was trapped in a storm drain was rescued by Hartford police Monday night.

Police responded to the scene and removed the drain gate and man hole cover to get to the trapped 8-week-old kitten.

K9 officer and Dive Team member Holly Donahue then went down into the sewer.

The ACO also helped with the rescue.

The adorable kitten is recovering at the veterinarian. Hartford police say the cat is a stray and needs a home.
