Orange police trying to identify burglary suspect

ORANGE, Conn. (WTNH) — Orange police are asking the public’s help to identify a suspect they say broke into a residential home near on Arrowhead Drive near the Merritt Parkway.

On May 26th, the suspect parked his dark grey 2004 Audi A6 Avant station wagon at the rest stop on the Northbound side of the Merritt Parkway (Route 15). According to police, the suspect then jumped over the fence at the rear of the rest stop area, and entered the home on Arrowhead Drive.

Officers said the suspect took a jewelry box from the house. Neighbors spotted the man walking through a neighbor’s yard back toward the rest area, where he then jumped back over the fence.

Police said the man then got in his car and drove north on Route 15 around 4:30 p.m. The images provided to News 8 by Orange police were taken from closed circuit television cameras at the rest stop.
