Strawberry Moon

Weather permitting, tonight you will be able to see a Full “Strawberry Moon”. This name was universal to every Algonquin tribe. However, in Europe they called it the Rose Moon. Also, because the relatively short season for harvesting strawberries comes each year during the month of June. So the full Moon that occurs during June was christened for the strawberry!. They saw it as a signal to begin to gather the ripening spring fruits and vegetables like strawberries and peas. Did you know that each full moon has a certain meaning? You can find them out here!
