Greenwich police warn of burglary spree

GREENWICH, Conn. (WTNH) – Greenwich police are warning people to keep their eyes open after a string of burglaries.  Eight homes have been hit by burglars in the last month, four of them just last weekend.  The burglars hit both during the daytime and at night.

Police say if you are travelling, let your neighbors know you will be out of town so they can keep an eye on your place.  Make sure your lawn is mowed when you are out of town.  Police say even a “beware of dog” sign can help.

Greenwich police say they have adjusted their patrol patterns to crack down on the burglaries.
