NEW HAVEN- Hundreds are expected to show up at a New Haven job fair.
Before 9 this morning dozens filled out applications to work at Aldi grocery store. The chain is hosting two job fairs looking to hire 15 people at their different locations. One woman who is unemployed said the job market is tough, but she is determined to work
“It’s about you getting out there and put the effort in. You have to keep you sources and keep looking around,” said New Haven’s Cierra Smith.
“As far as the skills and the training needed we can take care of all that here once we hire the person and kind of train them on our best practices and our ways but we’re really just looking for someone who’s a good match for the business,” said Aldi District Manager, Levi Whitcomb.
Pay starts at $12.50 an hour and goes up. They’ll be at their new Haven location at 480 Foxon Road until 5 tonight.
