(WTNH)–This week I mixed it up a bit and took a look back at the week in numbers!
Emily turned 18, Rob and Chris celebrated 26 years of marriage, these guys graduated from 8th grade and Sabrina donated nine inches of hair. Sean Coyle was one of 1,000 students selected to attend West Point Leadership Academy.
You ran a 10 mile race, spun one very big wheel and watched American Pharoah take the triple crown. Speaking of horses, you rode as #48 in Woodbury and held your first place trophies in Cheshire. Joey won silver as #6 in the Special Olympics, while the Valley Fusion softball team flashed the number five. These 11 soccer girls took a celebratory lap, these two cousins went mini-golfing and one man took in the view from atop a Connecticut peak.
One bear crossed the road in Plymouth, one dog stood amidst the dandilions in Wallingford, while Chloe lay on all fours. These two spotted a chipmunk, this cat found one dog to cuddle up to, while these two look alike dogs snuggled on the couch! Something you don’t want to snuggle up to? One long snake found slithering in Trumbull.
You spotted thousands of seashells on Silver Sands Beach and not one, but five rainbows from Sandy Hook to Bethany. These two may not have found a pot of gold at the end of the rainbow, but they did run into someone who took home gold on the American Idol stage – Connecticut’s own Nick Fradiani.
Perhaps the sunsets this second week of June will inspire a new song or two…
