East Hampton woman charged with DUI in Wallingford wrong-way collision


WALLINGFORD, Conn. (WTNH) — An East Hampton woman was driving under the influence on the wrong side of Route 15 when she caused a head-on collision in Wallingford early Saturday, state police say.

According to authorities, 58-year-old Jaymar Oconnor was traveling south in the northbound lanes around 12:15 a.m. when she hit a minivan transporting seven people. No one in the minivan was hurt, but Oconnor was taken to MidState Medical Center with minor injuries.

The Brack Farm Drive woman is charged with operating under the influence of drugs or alcohol and operating the wrong way on a divided highway.
