NORWALK, Conn. (WTNH) — A Friday night fire has left a Norwalk home uninhabitable, fire officials say.

Firefighters found the left side of 8 Lighthouse Lane completely engulfed when they arrived on scene around 10:30 p.m. They say most of the fire was put out in 10 minutes, but it still isn’t fit for occupancy.

According to authorities, three adults and a dog were home when the fire started. They say all made it out safely before fire crews arrived, and will be staying with relatives.

The deputy fire marshal is investigating the cause of the fire.
