GRISWOLD, Conn. (WTNH)– 130 packets of heroin, along with other drugs, were taken during a drug bust in Griswold last Monday.
According to state police, troopers were investigating suspicious activity in the Norman Road area of town. Troopers saw 26 year old Samantha Johnson in the area, and found ten packets of heroin on her.
Johnson told troopers that there was additional heroin back at her home. Troopers say Johnson signed a written consent to a search of the home.
In addition to the 130 packets of heroin, troopers found 28 grams of marijuana, 30 grams of synthetic marijuana. numerous drug related items, and over $350 in cash.
24 year old Vaneza Flores, who knew Johnson, was in the home at the time of the search, and was found to have seven packets of heroin on them.
Johnson was charged on numerous drug related offenses, including operating a drug factory and possession of narcotics with intent to sell. Flores was charged with possession of narcotics.
