Flames damage Berlin bar

Berlin, Conn. (WTNH) – State and local investigators are looking into the cause of a fire that caused damage to a bar on the Berlin Turnpike overnight.

The initial calls about the fire at the Synn Lounge began coming in shortly after one o’clock on Monday morning. When firefighter got there, they found flames coming through the roof of the building.

All four of Berlin’s fire companies were needed to knock down the blaze.  Both the town and state fire marshal’s offices are investigating to determine the cause.

There were no reports of injuries.
