New London police investigating fatal motorcycle crash

NEW LONDON, Conn. (WTNH) – A motorcyclist who lost control of his vehicle on Saturday has been pronounced dead.

At around 8:00 p.m. Saturday night, New London police were called to the scene after reports of a motorcycle accident in the area of Coleman Street and Cedar Grove Avenue.

According to investigators, Bladimir “Leo” Concepcion-Gil, age 24, lost control of his 2008 Kawasaki ZX6R Ninja 60cc motorcycle. He subsequently ran off the road into a utility pole on Coleman Street. Authorities do not believe any other vehicles were involved.

Concepcion-Gil was transported to Lawrence and Memorial Hospital where he was officially pronounced dead.

New London Police are encouraging anyone who may have witnessed the crash to contact Officer Zelinski at 860-447-5269 or submit an anonymous tip online.
