Wallingford Police Add New Officer to the Ranks

WALLINGFORD, Conn. (WTNH) – Wallingford Police welcomed a new police officer to their force Tuesday.

Officer Vincent Szeligowski, a Wallingford native, began his police training on January 2 with an intensive twenty-four week program at the Connecticut Police Training Academy. His training paid off Tuesday night with a formal graduation ceremony at Central Connecticut State University.

As a new member of the force, Officer Szeligowski will now begin a comprehensive sixteen week Wallingford Police Department field training period. He will be coached and mentored by veteran field training officers learning local policies, procedures and ordinances before he is able to work independently.
