WALLINGFORD, Conn. (WTNH) — Several Wallingford families have good reason to fear Mother Nature after the mess she left behind late Tuesday afternoon.
The Narducci family fears her for other reasons. Without power, their 12-year-old son’s health could be in jeopardy. He needs a ventilator to breathe.
“But, he’s a trooper and we’ll get through this,” said Paul Narducci. “Hopefully, they’ll get the power back on because air conditioning is very important to my son.”
Narducci says despite all the damage to the homes on Grantham Road, neighbors still went out of their way to check and make sure they would be okay without power. He says one of the families with major damage just recently moved in.
“You have at least three or four homes that are in really bad shape. One of them looks like it may have to be demolished, who knows. An entire tree went through it. Right now, our hearts go out to them and their families and thank God everybody is okay,” he said.
As for taking care of Jonathan, Narducci is hopeful everything will work out.
“We have backup for about a day or two,” he said. “We’ve also worked with Wallingford Electric to kind of be hooked up on a separate thing. It’s not working right now unfortunately, but we have battery packs and we also have family that live in Wallingford and Cheshire.”
