The Story of Milford-Based SUBWAY As It Is About To Turn 50 (Interview)

Subway, based in Milford, Connecticut, is announcing a change in leadership…but it’s all in the family.
Suzanne Greco will be taking over as president of Subway as her brother, 68-year old Fred DeLuca the co-founder of the sandwich chain, is being treated for leukemia….he will remain as CEO. In January of 2013, DeLuca came on my show NYBERG to talk all about how the company grew and grew and grew to be world wide…to date there are just under 40-thousand sub shops.
Greco will oversee day-to-day operations and report to her brother.
The 57-year-old Greco sits on Subway’s board and has been involved with the company since it opened its first store in 1965 in Bridgeport. Subway turns 50 years old this August 28th, 2015.
