CROMWELL, Conn. (WTNH)– Kevin Streelman ,defending Travelers champion, recalls his win last year as a day he will never forget.
Streelman swung an unbelievable seven straight birdies to not only won the Travelers tournament last year ,but was also given a plaque to honor the record. The jaw dropping streak started on hole 12, where the plaque has been placed.
Streelman reflects on that day saying, “you know, to know I have the plaque they put out there is one of the more special things to be honest, from 12, where the run started. They sent me one of those to my house and I have that in my man cave as something I’ll never forget as well.”
Although Streelman has been off the past couple of weeks, he told reporters that he is starting to feel recharged and has high hopes for this coming weekend.
The Traveler’s Tournament kicked off the first day with great weather, low scores and anticipation for the rest of the weekend.
