CROMWELL, Conn. (AP) — Travelers says the just concluded Travelers Championship golf tournament in Cromwell generated more than $1.5 million for charity.

The tournament provides 100 percent of its net proceeds to non-profit organizations throughout New England. The cornerstone charity is the The Hole in the Wall Gang Camp, a residential summer camp for children with cancer and other serious illnesses.

But, more than 140 charities will see some type of windfall from the tournament.

The Travelers Championship has generated more than $9 million for over 500 charities since Travelers became the title sponsor in 2007.

Bubba Watson won the tournament on Sunday in a playoff with Paul Casey. Watson also won the Travelers in 2010.
