Boy injured when his bike collides with car at Meriden intersection

MERIDEN, Conn. (WTNH) — A 14-year-old boy is hospitalized after colliding with a car while he was riding his bicycle Tuesday afternoon.

Police say the driver was traveling south on Lewis Avenue when the bicyclist, traveling west of Springdale Avenue, ran into the driver’s side door at the intersection. The boy, whose identity has not been released, suffered injuries to his head and arm, according to officials. They say he’s in stable condition at Hartford Hospital Children’s Medical Center.
