State troopers make burglary arrest

New Haven, Conn. (WTNH) –  State police have arrested an Ellington man in connection with a string of hold ups at a liquor store in the community.

54 year old Kevin Burke is being held in the case. Troopers broke the case after responding to a burglar alarm at Mark’s Country Wine and Liquor on Main Street last night. When they got there, a witness told them a man had just left the scene in a green sedan after trying to break into the store.

The witness got the car’s plate number and troopers were able to use that information to track down the suspect.  Authorities say after speaking to Burke they determined he was involved in more than one burglary.
