Man found shot dead in car in Hartford

HARTFORD, Conn. (WTNH)– A man has died after being shot in the chest inside a car in Hartford.

Police say they responded to a shooting at Kenyon Court where they found a 47-year-old Everet Scott, of Hartford, inside a vehicle with a gunshot wound to his chest.

Scott was taken to St. Francis Hospital where he died form his injuries.

The shooting is under investigation. Police believe it to be drug related. There is no word on any suspects at this time.

This is the 19th homicide in Hartford this year. That matches the total for all of 2014.
