STAMFORD, Conn. (WTNH) — A Bridgeport man arrested in August of 2014 for sexually assaulting a juvenile has been sentenced to jail Tuesday.
Stamford police arrested Andre Joseph, age 57 at the time of his arrest, after a 14-year-old girl claimed he got her pregnant. He pleaded guilty to first-degree sexual assault, second-degree sexual assault, and two counts of risk of injury to a minor.
Joseph has been sentenced to 15 years, five mandatory, with seven years of special parole for first-degree sexual assault, and five years with seven years special parole for second-degree sexual assault. He will serve those consecutively for 20 years. Joseph was also sentenced for 10 years to serve concurrently for risk of injury. He will also be on the sex offender registry for life.
