HARTFORD, Conn. – Hartford Police were called to the scene of a crash involving a bicyclist and motor vehicle on Thursday.
It happened at the intersection of Wethersfield Avenue and Bond Street. The 69-year-old bicyclist, Carlos Perez, was rushed to the hospital with life threatening injuries.
Officers on the scene administered a sobriety test to the driver of the car, 38-year-old Dalia Bourassa. She failed the test and was charged with DUI.
Four days after the crash, Perez was pronounced dead at Hartford Hospital.
Hartford police are asking people who may have witnessed the crash to give them a call.
