Baby delivered after deadly Stonington crash dies

STONINGTON, Conn. (WTNH)– The baby that was delivered by emergency c-section after the deadly crash on I-95 in Stonington on Tuesday, has died.

26-year old Alexandra Brown, of Niantic, was nine months pregnant when her car hit a guardrail on I-95 South, near exit 91.  She was thrown from the car and killed.

Police say she was not wearing a seat belt. Her baby was delivered by emergency cesarean section and was rushed to Westerly Hospital in Rhode Island.

News 8 was told that the infant passed away Wednesday night.
