Plainville man arrested on child pornography charges

PLAINVILLE, Conn. (WTNH) — After a year-long investigation by Connecticut State Police a Plainville man is facing child pornography related charges.

Police began the investigation in July 2014 after they found child pornography being distributed through an internet account in Plainville. During the course of the investigation Connecticut State Police Computer Crimes Unit seized multiple computers and related items. They identified Eli Morton, 30, of East Street as a suspect and arrested him on August 5, 2015.

Morton is charged with promoting a minor in obscene performance and possessing child pornography. He was being held on $150,000 bond and appeared in court Wednesday.
