Woman hit by car while setting up Mystic Outdoor Art Festival

MYSTIC, Conn. (WTNH) — A pedestrian has been taken to the hospital after being hit by a car in Mystic around 7 a.m. Saturday.

Groton police say the woman, whose identity has not been released, was hit on West Main Street near Gravel Street while setting up for the Mystic Outdoor Art Festival. They say she was taken to Lawrence and Memorial Hospital. Her condition and the extent of her injuries are not known.

West Main Street was closed for a short period of time, but is now open again.

The accident is still under investigation.
